Day 160

We head West along the Cote D’azur again.

We got up really early this morning and all raced down to the beach for a swim before breakfast.

A quick swim at 8 am in Golfe Juan, Vallauris, France.

We returned to our apartment, had brekky, packed up and got out on the road. We had no place in particular to go but just drove along the coast road and stopped to look at anything that took our fancy. The coast drive is really nice and every little town you go through you want to stop at.

L'Orangeraie Parc Hotel in La Croix-Valmer near the St Tropez peninsular, totally out of our range.

We got to St Tropez had a little stop not much of a look around just looked too expensive for us and continued further down the road.

We stopped at a camping site that looked pretty good so we went in and checked it out. The camping site is more of a resort with kids activities, yoga, pilates classes for the adults. It is a lot different to our campsites back home along with the price $140 euro per night in a cabin minimum stay 2 nights then add linen. It was very nice but we had to decline. We drove further down the road and found another camp site near the the Baei De Cavalaire still in La Croix-Valmer East of Toulon. It was the same sort of style as the one we had stopped into earlier but just smaller in scale and more our price range $80 euro a night + $14 for linen. We took it and we got a brand new cabin.

It was good and we were able to spread-out for a bit. The Kids went to the play area and explored the caravan park while Summer and I went to the grocery store on site to get some dinner. We got side tracked and went to the bar for a beer, it had just been renovated and looked great. We got talking to some locals and they gave us some recommendations on places to visit. We told them we were going to Marseille and they said ‘no, it is stinky and dirty, you need to go to Cassis and Camargue’.  They showed us some pictures on the internet and said to just see the church in Marseille.

The places they recommended are on either side of Marseille and far better holiday destinations they told us so we took the tip said our goodbyes.

Finally got to the grocery store, picked up some dinner and returned to our cabin to make some dinner.
