Day 158

Last day of school, term 2

We had no wifi this morning and so walked into our little village today. It is on the other side of the train tracks and only a short 5 minute walk. Nice little hub.

We saw a familiar looking van and had to take a photo.

We spent the morning just checking it out then returned for lunch. Both girls then get on the wifi and complete the last of their school work. After completing all school work, we told the girls it was the last day of school for the term and they have finished what is required for the term and would have 2 weeks off. The girls celebrated with another swim prior to dinner.

We all then for a walk out the marina. A nice relaxing day on the French Riviera.

Day 159

Cannes and Old Town Nice in one day

Today we woke up and the wifi was not working so we packed up and went for a drive to Cannes. It is only 10 minutes West of us. There were thousands of tourists. We had a look around the red carpet area and were they have the film festival. Everyone was taking photos of themselves on the red carpet and so we got a shot of the girls.

There must be a street festival coming up, we saw a guy setting up his high dive platform into the little plunge pool. It was high and the pool shallow. I wouldn’t even jump feet first off it.

We then returned for lunch, still no wifi so we headed off to check out Old town Nice. We did not see it when we were there a few days earlier. Awesome. The little streets and shops were really cool.

We then made our way over to the beach and it was packed. (see feature image) It was a nice relaxed atmosphere everyone out just enjoying the beautiful weather. We then walked back up the main street past the fountain and then back to the car park. We then drove along the coast again back for dinner prior to a walk out to the marina. This will be our last night here and so we just walked and enjoyed the great temperature and beautiful water.
